Marc’s GChat Status Expanded

Well That Didn’t Take Too Long

Made a few changes to the website.

The new template is up. It adds a bit of color and changes the background color (white is definitely a bit hard on the eyes).

It also expanded the side bar column to two side bar columns, which I like a lot.

New on the sidebar: A list of the most popular posts from MGSE (which will probably just be the most recent posts until the new blog gets going), a list of popular tags, a category cloud (where you’ll be able to quick click to Random Thoughts, FTW/FTL, Moron of the Week, and other reoccurring posts), a list of exit pages (where folks go when they leave MGSE), a list of the most recent previous posts, and a calender that allows you to click on a date and read that day’s posts (great if you miss a day or two of the blog).

Gone from the sidebar, but hopefully returning soon are: RSS Subscribe feed (working on it), the ESPN widget, and the Followers list (which Word Press doesn’t seem to offer).

I’ll still be tinkering with things, but please let me know what you think about the new design by voting in the poll on the side bar.

Thanks!

I promise real posts will be coming out shortly.

  1. To those of you who posted comments on this post, I apologize but I had to delete it.

When the blog started freaking out, I decided to try the old blogger strategy of deleting the most recent post. Fortunately (because if that was still an issue on Word Press I was just going to jump out of a window) that did not work.
